Built on Horsemanship
Cassidy Curtis is the founder and lead trainer of Curtis Performance Horses, established in 2016. What began as a small lesson and boarding program has grown into a premier Arabian and Half-Arabian show barn recognized for both competitive success and strong foundational development.
In 2025, Cassidy was named APAHA Grass Roots Instructor of the Year, honoring her commitment to introducing and developing riders within the Arabian horse community. Under her guidance, CPH riders have earned Regional and National Champion titles, a reflection of the steady preparation and disciplined approach that define the program.
Cassidy develops performance horses across multiple disciplines, preparing young prospects, seasoned competitors, and amateur mounts for regional and national competition.
Today, she leads a dedicated team of trainers and instructors, continuing to grow a program built on horsemanship, preparation, and competitive excellence.
Meet Cassidy Curtis
Corazon “Cori” Curtis serves as Assistant Trainer and Instructor at Curtis Performance Horses. Raised within the Arabian horse community through her family’s program, Double C Ranch, she brings a lifelong foundation in training, teaching, and competition.
A multiple Regional Champion and two-time National titleholder, Cori has firsthand experience competing at the highest levels of the sport. Today, she applies that experience to developing riders within both the show program and the Riding Academy.
Cori specializes in equitation, horsemanship, and pattern work, working closely with riders to refine position, timing, and ring presence. Known for her patient, detail-oriented instruction, she helps riders build strong fundamentals while preparing them to advance confidently in competition.
As a key leader within the West Michigan Riding Academy, Cori plays an integral role in guiding riders from their first lessons through their transition into the show program. Her ability to meet riders where they are, while steadily raising expectations, has made her a cornerstone of the CPH development pipeline.
